HOW WILL THE DISTRICT 9780 YOUTH EXCHANGE COMMITTEE STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOU?

This is our official District Youth Exchange website and we encourage you to bookmark it on your internet browser. This site is our major form of communication with all stakeholders in the YE Program. Please become familiar with it and refer to it often!

District Youth Exchange Events. Attendance at District YE Events is compulsory for ALL students participating in the program - Outbounds and Inbounds. Although difficult for the District Committee to make attendance at these Events compulsory for Club Counsellors we strongly encourage ALL Counsellors (or a Club representative) to attend with their Student(s). We believe you will be pleasantly surprised at how informative, interactive and enjoyable our new-look Events Programs have become!

By far our most effective way to communicate with Rotary Clubs is via email to the Club Secretary or President - where the Secretary does not have access to an email address of their own.

By far our most effective way to communicate with Club Counsellors is via email also. It is vital that we have current email addresses for all Inbound (and Outbound) Counsellors and I ask that you ensure that you/they have supplied the current address for your Club Counsellor(s).

Telephone – occasionally a member of the District Committee may find it necessary to make contact by phone.

Club Visits – each member of the District Youth Exchange Committee is available to attend your Rotary Club as a guest/keynote speaker and/or your Board Meeting to assist with any aspect of the Youth Exchange Program. We also have access to current Inbound Students, returned students or Outbound 2009 Students who would relish the opportunity to present their story to your Club members.

Other – Additional communication from the District Youth Exchange Committee will come to you via the District Governor’s regular newsletter and our own soon to be released YE Newsletter.

DISTRICT YOUTH EXCHANGE EVENTS - List

We have a number of events during the year for out Outbound students and also for our Inbound students. We also have a Rebound event for the returned students.

Some of these events combine Inbound and Outbound students and always parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We do strongly encourage Counsellors to attend all the required meetings as well as they are not only intensly helpful and informative but also rewarding.

BOOKING YOUR PLACE AT DISTRICT 9780 YOUTH EXCHANGE EVENTS

Booking your place at District Events is easy.

Log onto the District 9780 Youth Exchange website, http://9780.rotaryyouth.org.au and view the Event Schedule. Click on the District Events menu Item

To find out about the most current event then click on Current Event Info .

To Book or Register your attendance then click on Registration .

Event Registration is only available when the next current event has been activated by the District YE Committee Events co-ordinator – usually about 4 weeks prior to the event taking place.

Click on Registration and select your Rotary Club from the drop down list. Click on Go to Registration. Click the names of attendees to confirm their attendance. If an attendee is not shown on the propagated list for your selected Rotary Club, please add them in the space provided.
